Anyone love the movie "Tangled" as much as I do?? I thought it was really cute, so I had to draw a fanart >w< Except I drew Rapunzel in manga style, haha~
This was drawn a while ago, but I didn't get to finish coloring it until just yesterday XD Oh school, you take all my time away! OTL|||
Anyways, I gotta go back to drawing! I hope you enjoyed my new artwork! ^_^
Thank you for every Comment, Critique, Fav and/or +Watch! I really do appreciate the support
What get's me first is her face I like her face. It's cute, it's clear, I can totally see she's happy and the brightness of the colours make it stand out
However, the face may be slightly too bright in comparison to her neck ( or the neck is too dark). There's a slight disconnection between the brightness in colour of her face and the grayness of her neck. Perhaps you could use 'colour burn' to do the shading on her neck and clothes? There seems to be a greyness with using gradient.
Another thing. It would be good to fully establish where light is coming from. My best guess atm is light is coming from the top right ( I may be completely wrong). Regardless, you are welcome to further emphasize the light and shadows on her hair.
The hair is very well done. The strands must have taken forever!! and I can see the some orange streaks in the hair = awesome! and the background is very creative! I heard the lantern suggestion, I didn't think of it, but I can see it too xD. It's very modern and you can definitely use the background outside of art!
Overall, it's a cute, it's a nice choice for a pose ( she does have a lot of hair to hold!) and the details are great
I must say the coloring of her hair made my jaw drop! Such detail, it almost seemed as if you drew each strand on its own! It really gives the drawing a pop that catches your eye (that's why I clicked on this!). In short, the hair brings it together!
But one of my favorite parts of this has to be the little details, like look of the white ruffles on her dress, the accessory in her hair, and the background, it's almost like a modernized version of the lanterns (if you get what i mean c: ).
Now the only part of the drawing I think needs a little work is the placement of her head, and facial details. The way her head is tilted seems a little off, as if her head became unhinged from her neck. As for the facial features, her face itself maybe could use a little more shading to present the features in a better way? (lack of a better way to put that!)
But all in all it's a lovely drawing <3 Tangled has to be one of the best of the newer Disney movies!
awesome job, gotta admit tho, that movie is freak'n addicting, can't seem not to watch it whenever it's on, Ryder's attitude is almost identical to mine xD
