Otakuthon has come to an end!
First of all, BIG SHOUTOUT to my friend Mizuetani for being a great helper at the convention! Thanks to her I didn’t need to stay up till 4am punching buttons ; w ;
This year was my first year doing regular artist alley at Otakuthon. I got to have a table next to my friends Shi-Yin and Mikanpen which was fun I was also placed next to a friendly artist from the US, shout out to CanisPanthera!
The regular artist tables felt a lot smaller than the premium ones. Please excuse how crowded my table was lol >w<” Maybe I should stop making so many different products and just focus on buttons and prints…?
Here’s a pic for those who couldn’t come:
Thanks to everyone who stopped by my table and said hi! I appreciate it
Highlights of the Convention
I was extremely happy to see some of my followers from DA!
Thank you Shujun for coming to my table again! I really appreciate the support
Also thank you to Ponyta for dropping by, it was a pleasure meeting you for the first time, you are so cute and polite ^_^
If any more of you came by, please let me know! I wouldn’t know who you were unless you mentioned your name when you were at my booth! XD
Also a big thank you to my friends who stopped by to say hi and bought something, I was really happy to see you all again, even if only for a short moment!
I was always interested in the steampunk style, but always just admired it from far. This year, I met an extremely lovely steampunk artist, Lady Lilleigh who did an art trade with me. I was over the top happy and so was her daughter when she saw the prints and buttons I gave her! It was a very joyful moment for all of us ^_^ Hopefully I can put together something nice with the accessory she gave me for next year’s convention! Check out her site for awesome steampunk items ladylilleigh.myshopify.com
When I was at my table, sometimes people would compliment my artworks. It made me really happy even if they weren’t able to buy anything. After ending school, I spend a lot of time just drawing on my own so it felt very nostalgic to hear people’s feedback live again. Thank you very much for supporting me in what I love doing! The same goes for all of you who leave comments and critiques on my art! I really appreciate it! ^///^
Conventions are always so busy, I definitely wanted to rest after, but since I had to go to work today and tomorrow, I’ll have to hang in there for a little longer XD Next year I’m aiming to attend Anime North! Not sure if I’ll be going for fun or as an artist yet. If you’ve been to Anime North, please let me know what the artist area is like
Once again, many thanks to all of you who support my art.
It means so much to me
See you next year
Awesome people from Otakuthon:
